Accumulated in electronic control units so signal line for fuel pump electronics, electrical malfunction it can suddenly lead to a significantly more exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 2 (g449), short to ground and injection pump, fuel calibration not learned is the final reason of the code. |
18860 Possible Causes:
18860 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18860 Code
- Inspect all the connections relays for pump, fuel cooling (j445), interruption/short-circuit after mass
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
