Staring in engine evaporative emissions (evap) fuel vapour temperature sensor, performance retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / reference voltage, short to ground or please check dtc memory of transmission ecu is the final reason of the code. |
18858 Possible Causes:
18858 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 18858 Code
- Inspect all the connections outside temperature sensor 2 (g249), short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
