This code were stamped on VW Engine case please check dtc memory of ecu number 2 the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles signal for back-up lights, short to b+ also exhaust bank 1 sensor 1 o2 sensor signal, implausibly rich is the final reason of the code. |
18857 Possible Causes:
18857 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 18857 Code
- Inspect all the connections camshaft position signal output, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
