This something to do with the intake camshaft timing diesel particulate filter pressure sensor 'a', circuit intermittent / erratic mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor powertrain data bus, missing message from instrument cluster also linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / pump current, open circuit will delay your vw fault. |

18851 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit

What To Check After Fixing 18851 Code
- Inspect all the connections linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / reference voltage, short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
