This code were stamped on VW Engine case please check dtc memory of engine ecu run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 heater circuit, voltage too low or change exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 5, circuit intermittent / erratic will delay your vw fault. |
18849 Possible Causes:
18849 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
What To Check After Fixing 18849 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 4, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
