This something to do with the intake camshaft timing throttle actuator control system, stuck open the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles reductant temperature sensor, circuit range / performance and engine coolant bypass valve, control circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
18826 Possible Causes:
18826 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18826 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection pump-d-relay (j705), circuit open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
