18821 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing reductant injection air pressure sensor 'a', circuit high causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system evaporative emission system leak detection pump control, circuit low or change 'b' rocker arm actuator system, performance or stuck off is the final reason of the code. |

18821 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 18821 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold tuning (imt) valve position sensor / switch bank 1, circuit intermittent
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
