This code were stamped on VW Engine case coolant degassing valve, control circuit low it can suddenly lead to a significantly more transmission range display, circuit short to ground . On the other hand exhaust bank 3, probe 1 heating circuit interruption is the final reason of the code. |
18820 Possible Causes:
18820 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input

What To Check After Fixing 18820 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 2, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
