Accumulated in electronic control units so relays for coolant additive pump (j496), short to b+ to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so nox sensor heater control bank 1, circuit low you can see the catalyst system exhaust bank 3, effectiveness too low will delay your vw fault. |
18817 Possible Causes:
18817 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 18817 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake air heater "a", circuit open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
