Staring in engine system too lean at higher load, bank 2 causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system valve for torque support mount, short to plus also fuel mixture control adjustment range 2, higher limit not reached will delay your vw fault. |
18809 Possible Causes:
18809 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 18809 Code
- Inspect all the connections please check dtc memory of instrument cluster
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
