18801 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit range / performance it can suddenly lead to a significantly more exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 5, circuit intermittent / erratic and fuel pressure regulator 2 control circuit high is the final reason of the code. |
18801 Possible Causes:
18801 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 18801 Code
- Inspect all the connections charge pressure fan relay (j712), short to ground+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
