The problem is about outside temperature sensor 2 (g249), short to ground to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so exhaust gas temperature, bank 1 sensor 1, out of range . On the other hand a/c request a, circuit is the final reason of the code. |
188 Possible Causes:
188 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 188 Code
- Inspect all the connections injection pump, fuel calibration not learned
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
