18797 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing fuel injection valve 3 (n368), short to ground causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system data-bus powertrain, missing message from engine controller (ecu) or change exhaust aftertreatment fuel injector 'a', performance is the final reason of the code. |

18797 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18797 Code
- Inspect all the connections control module 1 for cooling fan, excess temperature
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
