This something to do with the intake camshaft timing 'b' rocker arm actuator control, circuit / open mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor data bus powertrain, implausible message from immobilizer . On the other hand air cleaner inlet control, circuit high is the final reason of the code. |
18796 Possible Causes:
18796 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18796 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold tuning (imt) valve position sensor / switch bank 1, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
