Staring in engine post catalyst fuel trim system, high limit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start signal for back-up lights, open or change linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / pump current, short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
18790 Possible Causes:
18790 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18790 Code
- Inspect all the connections sensor 3 for intake air temperature (g520), signal low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
