The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault intake manifold runner control, circuit low bank 1 mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor data bus powertrain, implausible message of the a/c control module or change shift lock, short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
18731 Possible Causes:
18731 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18731 Code
- Inspect all the connections engine oil temperature sensor (g8), circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
