The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault data bus engine/engine, missing message from ecu 2 causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system charging system, voltage high and please check dtc memory of central electric control ecu is the final reason of the code. |
18721 Possible Causes:
18721 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18721 Code
- Inspect all the connections control circuit for controller for turbocharger 1 (j724): electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
