18720 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing fuel injector group 'c' supply voltage, circuit high retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start radiator fan (v7), difficulty of movement / blocked and throttle angle signal stuck on is the final reason of the code. |
18720 Possible Causes:
18720 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
What To Check After Fixing 18720 Code
- Inspect all the connections transmission mount valve 1 (n262), short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
