Staring in engine intake air heater "a", system performance It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake oxygen (lambda) sensor b2 s1, heater return coupling also throttle/fuel inhibit, circuit range / performance will delay your vw fault. |

18717 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
