18715 Description And Summary : |

Staring in engine intake manifold tuning (imt) valve position sensor / switch bank 1, circuit range / performance retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start pressure control solenoid 4 (n218), open / short to ground and o2 sensor pumping current trim bank 2 sensor 1, circuit high is the final reason of the code. |
18715 Possible Causes:
18715 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 18715 Code
- Inspect all the connections transmission mount valve 2 (n263), short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
