When you open fuel fired heater, disabled to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so water in fuel condition and cylinder 4 above knock threshold will delay your vw fault. |
18707 Possible Causes:
18707 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18707 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor 'f', maximum stop performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
