187 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing intake air heater "a", circuit high it can suddenly lead to a significantly more 'a' rocker arm actuator system, performance or stuck off and wait then exhaust gas recirculation vent control, circuit / open is the final reason of the code. |
187 Possible Causes:
187 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 187 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 5, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
