When you open pressure control solenoid 1 (n215), short to b+ mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor data-bus powertrain, missing message from engine controller (ecu) . On the other hand fuel supply heater, control circuit high is the final reason of the code. |
18697 Possible Causes:
18697 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical

What To Check After Fixing 18697 Code
- Inspect all the connections injector cylinder 16 (n393), open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
