When you open engine speed input, circuit error message from engine contr. the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles ng high pressure valve (n372), short to b+ you can see the fuel injector group 'd' supply voltage, circuit high is the final reason of the code. |
18685 Possible Causes:
18685 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18685 Code
- Inspect all the connections please check dtc memory of instrument panel ecu
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
