The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault injection pump, fuel calibration not learned retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start air leak between maf and throttle body also please check dtc memory of instrument cluster is the final reason of the code. |
18684 Possible Causes:
18684 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 18684 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for pump - jet: cylinder 7 (n303), regulation range exceeded
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
