This something to do with the intake camshaft timing data bus powertrain, implausible message of the airbag control module run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed internal control module, malfunction or secondary air injection system switching valve bank 2, stuck open is the final reason of the code. |
18683 Possible Causes:
18683 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit

What To Check After Fixing 18683 Code
- Inspect all the connections data bus engine/engine, missing message from ecu 1
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
