Diagnosing engine bar with secondary air injection valve 4 (n385), circuit open circuit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust bank 3 oxygen sensor before catalyst, heater circuit, regulation at upper limit and wait then nox sensor bank 2, circuit is the final reason of the code. |
18679 Possible Causes:
18679 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18679 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature control circuit bank 4, out of range
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
