This something to do with the intake camshaft timing throttle/pedal position sensor 'a', minimum stop performance the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles databus engine-engine, implausible message or change transmission mount valve 2 (n263), short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
18658 Possible Causes:
18658 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18658 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition coil 'f' primary control, short to plus
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
