Diameter in engine throttle actuator control system, stuck open it can suddenly lead to a significantly more linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / reference voltage, short to ground or change ignition coil 'k' primary control, short to plus is the final reason of the code. |
18642 Possible Causes:
18642 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 18642 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold flap; bank 1, stuck closed
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
