18618 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault oxygen (lambda) sensor b1 s1, pump current, short to ground run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed fuel cap sensor / switch, circuit range / performance and data bus powertrain, no message from transmission controller (tcu) is the final reason of the code. |

18618 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 18618 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor 'd', maximum stop performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
