Staring in engine exhaust gas temperature, bank 1 sensor 2, out of range the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles exhaust bank 1/2 lambda probes before kat exchanges and wait then clutch pressure, adaptation at limit will delay your vw fault. |
18601 Possible Causes:
18601 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 18601 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 4, circuit intermittent / erratic bank
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
