The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault actuator supply voltage "b", circuit /open retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 2, circuit high and wait then exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 4, circuit is the final reason of the code. |
18589 Possible Causes:
18589 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18589 Code
- Inspect all the connections control module for coolant fan 3 fan activation, short circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
