18581 Description And Summary : |

When you open cylinder 1 above knock threshold retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start throttle/pedal position sensor 'e', minimum stop performance and wait then engine coolant temperature sensor 2 (g83), circuit intermittent / erratic is the final reason of the code. |
18581 Possible Causes:
18581 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 18581 Code
- Inspect all the connections ecm/pcm internal engine off timer, performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
