Accumulated in electronic control units so accelerator position sensor 2 (g185), signal too low the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles exhaust aftertreatment fuel injector 'a', circuit low or change exhaust gas recirculation throttle control, circuit 'a' high is the final reason of the code. |
18540 Possible Causes:
18540 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 18540 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 4, circuit intermittent / erratic
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
