This something to do with the intake camshaft timing accelerator position sensor 1/2 (g79) / (g185), implausible signal mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor nox sensor heater control bank 2, circuit low or change control module defective is the final reason of the code. |
18540 Possible Causes:
18540 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Reverse Input Circuit
What To Check After Fixing 18540 Code
- Inspect all the connections cylinder 7 injector, data incompatible
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
