This code were stamped on VW Engine case exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 5, circuit / open retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 1, circuit also ignition coil 'b' secondary circuit, malfunction is the final reason of the code. |

18539 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)

- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor signals swapped bank 2 sensor 2 / bank 2 sensor 3
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
