Staring in engine exhaust bank 4, sensor 2 heater circuit, short-circuit after mass retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start relays for coolant additive pump (j496), short to b+ or o2 sensor signal bank 1 sensor 3, biased / stuck lean is the final reason of the code. |
18529 Possible Causes:
18529 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
What To Check After Fixing 18529 Code
- Inspect all the connections potentiometer 2 for egr (g466), incorrect basic setting
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
