Staring in engine exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 1, circuit range / performance the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles relays for coolant additive pump (j496), short to b+ also exhaust aftertreatment fuel injector 'a', circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
18518 Possible Causes:
18518 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18518 Code
- Inspect all the connections linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / reference voltage, short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
