The problem is about transmission mount valve 1 (n262), open circuit mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor please check dtc memory of transmission ecu or starter relay 1, electrical malfunction in circuit (relay stuck / does not switch) will delay your vw fault. |
18518 Possible Causes:
18518 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
What To Check After Fixing 18518 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 heater circuit, internal resistance too large
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
