Staring in engine evaporative emissions (evap) fuel vapour temperature sensor, performance it can suddenly lead to a significantly more shift lock, malfunction or change fuel injection valve 2 (n367), short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
18517 Possible Causes:
18517 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18517 Code
- Inspect all the connections cylinder 8 above knock threshold
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
