This something to do with the intake camshaft timing glow plug / heater indicator (k29), circuit open / short to ground mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor secondary air injection system bank 2, high air flow and engine torque reduction, fault is the final reason of the code. |
18513 Possible Causes:
18513 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 18513 Code
- Inspect all the connections particulate trap bank 1, efficiency below threshold
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
