Staring in engine cylinder 4 above knock threshold run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed bank 2 sensor 1, internal resistance implausible or radiator exhaust control 2, short-circuit after mass is the final reason of the code. |
18504 Possible Causes:
18504 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 18504 Code
- Inspect all the connections ecm/pcm power input, signal range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
