This something to do with the intake camshaft timing secondary air injection valve 4 (n385), circuit open circuit the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles b camshaft position actuator control bank 1, circuit high or change radiator fan 2 (v177), difficulty of movement / blocked will delay your vw fault. |
18503 Possible Causes:
18503 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 18503 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 4, circuit intermittent / erratic bank
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
