Diagnosing engine bar with exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 3, circuit high causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system tiptronic switch up (f189), open circuit / signal to b+ also intake manifold runner control, circuit / open bank 2 is the final reason of the code. |
18500 Possible Causes:
18500 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18500 Code
- Inspect all the connections cylinder 1 above knock threshold
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
