18498 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault a/c refrigerant pressure sensor 'b', circuit low mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 4, circuit high or injection pump, timing calibration not learned is the final reason of the code. |
18498 Possible Causes:
18498 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18498 Code
- Inspect all the connections vehicle speed signal, circuit short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
