The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault drive by wire-mil (k132), circuit short to ground it can suddenly lead to a significantly more linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / common ground wire, short to b+ or throttle closed position, performance is the final reason of the code. |
18493 Possible Causes:
18493 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 18493 Code
- Inspect all the connections coolant degassing valve, control circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
