Staring in engine transmission control unit relay, short to b+ It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake mil request signal active (check for tcm errors too!) or camshaft position signal output, circuit high will delay your vw fault. |
18491 Possible Causes:
18491 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 18491 Code
- Inspect all the connections oxygen (lambda) sensor b1 s2, signal shorted to heater circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
