18491 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault load signal stuck off retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start bank 2, system too rich off idle and wait then o2 sensor signal bank 2 sensor 3, biased / stuck rich is the final reason of the code. |
18491 Possible Causes:
18491 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
What To Check After Fixing 18491 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 1/2 lambda probes before kat exchanges
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
