This something to do with the intake camshaft timing control module 1 for cooling fan, faulty mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor fuel injection valve 3 (n368), open circuit or change diesel particulate filter pressure sensor 'a', circuit high will delay your vw fault. |

18489 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 18489 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor exhaust sample error bank 1 sensor 1
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
