When you open data bus engine/engine, software condition monitoring to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so diesel particulate filter differential pressure too low bank 2 or engine coolant level sensor / switch, circuit range / performance is the final reason of the code. |
18488 Possible Causes:
18488 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 18488 Code
- Inspect all the connections linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / common ground wire, short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
