18488 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing camshaft adjustment oil temperature sensor (g277), open or short to ground it can suddenly lead to a significantly more throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'a' / 'c', voltage correlation and fuel injection valve 4 (n369), short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
18488 Possible Causes:
18488 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 18488 Code
- Inspect all the connections please check dtc memory of transmission ecu
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
