18478 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing power supply (b+) terminal 15, open circuit it can suddenly lead to a significantly more pressure control solenoid 3 (n217), short to b+ and wait then exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 2 (g449), short to ground is the final reason of the code. |

18478 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18478 Code
- Inspect all the connections turbocharger / supercharger boost pressure not detected - mechanical
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
