18474 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing transmission fluid temperature, exceeded multiple times mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor ignition coil 'g' secondary circuit, malfunction also exhaust bank 3, probe 1 signal too slowly is the final reason of the code. |
18474 Possible Causes:
18474 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 18474 Code
- Inspect all the connections data bus powertrain, missing messages from steering wheel electronics (j527)
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
