18461 Description And Summary : |

When you open activation starter relay 2, short to ground it can suddenly lead to a significantly more ecm/pcm internal engine off timer, performance and wait then reversing light, circuit short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
18461 Possible Causes:
18461 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 18461 Code
- Inspect all the connections supply voltage for fuel injector group a, short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
